Due to the expressed elevated concerns regarding the air quality due to the wildfires and the continued forecasted heat wave expressed by both participants and those wishing to come out and enjoy the festivities as spectators Columbia County Pride is being cancelled for August 12, 2017 and will be rescheduled to a later date. This is deeply saddening news for all of us involved with Pride but we believe the well-being of all our participants and community members is the priority. Columbia County Pride wishes to thank all those who have worked tirelessly to get this event together, the participants, vendors and sponsors. Columbia County Pride will happen and committee meetings will continue to take place the first Thursday of each month at 6:30pm. The new date will be announced soon (we will need to resubmit all applications for approval with the new date) and refunds will be issued promptly to those who have sponsored and/or paid fees for the event. We want everyone to be able to enjoy Columbia County Pride without health concerns related to these unexpected turn of events. Please join us as we continue to work toward getting the date reset and showing our community Pride!!

We are excited to present the First Annual Columbia County Pride parade and festival on August 12th, 2017! Our goal is to create an event that promotes solidarity and equality in our community. The Pride movement has been one of extreme importance across the nation, and we want to bring the benefits of this celebration to Columbia County. This event will increase awareness, support, and healing for LGBTQ people who have been marginalized, discriminated against, and harmed in this and neighboring areas. It will provide an opportunity for allies to identify themselves as supporters to the LGBTQ community. And, of course, it will provide a safe atmosphere for people to connect and build new friendships. Columbia County Pride will bring an influx of people into the community, increasing revenue for local businesses. The benefits of this event are endless for everyone!

- Level 1- All donors will be recognized on the Columbia County Pride Facebook page, as well as on the Medicine Wheel Recovery Services website (www.medicinewheelrecoveryservices.org).
- Level 2- All donors of $1000 or more will also be recognized on the First Annual Columbia County Pride Parade and Festival Banners, and will receive a fee waiver to participate in the parade.
- Level 3- In addition, all donors of $5000 or more will receive an honorary plaque, and free admittance for 25 people to the Pride Festival.
