MWRS accepts many forms of payment for DUII services. Some private insurances will cover DUII services.
MWRS has a simple self-pay option with a flat fee that can be divided into monthly payments. Please call 503-396-5322 to explore payment options.
MWRS provides DUII Education, Diversion, and treatment services to individuals referred by ADSS, using a combination of multiple curricula including Correctional Counseling Inc.’s “Escaping a Bottomless Pit” (a cognitive behavioral DUII program) and “Driving with Care” (level 1 education).
MWRS recognizes that the court system can be challenging and frightening to navigate, and therefore offers explanation of the
court process as well as support. Each individual referred for DUII services receives a Bio/Psycho/Social/Spiritual assessment
and using the ASAM, level of care is determined. All DUII service participants receive a minimum of twenty (20) hours
of specific education, to include information about the following:

- A pre-test and post-test to gauge knowledge and understanding
- Oregon State Requirements of: Module 1: DUII Laws and Consequences Module 2: Use of alcohol and other drugs, and their effects on driving Module 3: Physical and psychological effects of alcohol and other drug abuse Module 4: SUD signs and symptoms Module 5: SUD recovery support services Module 6: Alternatives to intoxicated driving Module 7: Creating and maintaining a DUII Prevention Plan
- Participants will also complete the following;
- Relapse prevention education, and creation of a “personal relapse prevention plan”
- Creation of a “driving under the influence prevention plan,” with a minimum of five alternatives to driving after the use of any mind altering substance
- Urinalysis tests, the first to be completed upon entry (All UA’s will contain full panel and EtG-ethyl glucuronide).
MWRS will provide at minimum, monthly reporting to ADES regarding individual’s progress, to be faxed or sent by encrypted email, per signed release of information. MWRS utilizes Motivational Interviewing and Stages of Change counseling strategies to evaluate and promote change to prevent future instances of driving after the use of any mind altering substance. Individuals participate in service planning and are informed of all court/legal requirements regarding participation and completion of DUII programming. Individuals participate in individual counseling, group therapy,
mental health support, and other activities, per service plan agreement. To complete the MWRS DUII program, participants will have at
least 90 days of sobriety (as evidenced by negative UA results), will have completed all modules of education, will have completed a
Driving Under the Influence Prevention Plan, and will have made significant progress on service plan
(as evidenced by completed objectives and learning competencies).
