Medicine Wheel Recovery Services, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization that seeks to meet the growing need for substance abuse treatment in
Columbia County, Oregon. Our goal is to promote wellness and recovery for individuals suffering from addictions and
unaddressed mental health needs, and to assist these people in reconnecting to the community.
Medicine Wheel Recovery Services focuses on sustainable recovery from addictions and unaddressed mental health issues by empowering individuals to “rise and thrive.” We provide services that are evidenced based, culturally competent and client centered. We aid individuals in the healing process
to create balance and health for themselves, their families and the community as a whole. We at Medicine Wheel Recovery Services respect
the autonomy and uniqueness of every individual, while promoting community strength through unity and support.
Medicine Wheel Recovery Services approaches healing by addressing the delicate balance of physical health, mental and emotional health, social and cultural connection, community involvement, environmental responsibility, and spirituality. The treatment we provide includes education,
counseling, activities, and support to the recovering individual and the family. Medicine Wheel Recovery Services is committed to our

Outpatient A&D Services
MWRS Outpatient A&D Services is an adult program (18 and above). While MWRS serves all eligible adults in a co-ed environment, specific services are gender specific in recognition of the evidence of healing that happens when
gender issues are addressed. OHP Services
We’re here to help. Medicine Wheel Recovery Services can help you through both
an initial application and the renewal process. We will fill out the application with you, and send it through our secure systems to ensure the fastest processing time. Cultural Activities
Participants can gain knowledge in their personal traditions and share their own personal experiences which will assist those around them in gaining knowledge and a better understanding of cultures that differ from their own.

Mental Health Services
MWRS provides services and supports for individuals with mental health or co-occurring disorders delivered by providers holding QMHP credentials or appropriate licensure to deliver these services. All mental health services can be delivered cohesively and concurrently with substance abuse services (when appropriate).
Veteran Housing Services
The Grant-Funded Planting Roots Housing Program is here to serve Columbia County,
It’s Veterans, and their Families who are in need by providing financial support for housing and other services to prevent Veteran homelessness. Community Resources

DUI Services
MWRS is licensed to provide both DUII education and DUII rehabilitative treatment. These services include alcohol and drug education and prevention required for your DUI.
Case Management Services
Case management services provides, planning, coordination, monitoring, and assistance in navigating systems, options, and resources to meet an individual's specific needs.
