Cultural Services
Cultural experiential opportunities and mentorship is guided by the diverse MWRS treatment team. The internet, books, peers, community members, Elders, Tribes and connections to other various cultural ancestry are all used to explore the particular ways of our ancestors. Participants can gain knowledge in their personal traditions and share their own personal experiences which will assist those around in gaining knowledge and a better understanding of cultures that differ from their own. As part of the cultural experience at MWRS, each participant will engage in experiential learning in all areas of the medicine wheel (the four colors represent the races/cultures of humanity) to create balance and respect. Participants will learn from the aspects of “7 Different Ways of Learning” (See image below) these may include, presenters, speakers, music, art, dance, etc. They can participate in the community when possible and will also explore the concept of environmental responsibility as a way of healing Mother Earth.
